Responsible gambling and problem gambling help
If gambling has stopped being entertainment, free and confidential help exists. You do not need to have hit bottom to ask for it.
Where to get help now
- 900 200 225 — FEJAR helpline: free, anonymous and confidential
- Autoprohibición (RGIAJ) — ban yourself from every state-licensed operator at once
- Juego Seguro (DGOJ) — official regulator information: risk behaviours and protective measures
- FEJAR — associations across Spain helping players and families free of charge
- Jugadores Anónimos — peer support groups, in person and online
What this platform is and is not
Nothing is wagered here. Tipster Platform publishes and verifies sports picks: we take no money to gamble with, manage nobody’s bankroll and never place a bet on any user’s behalf. We are not a bookmaker and not an intermediary for one.
That said, washing our hands of it would be dishonest: we publish betting content, and that content reaches people whom betting is hurting. Hence this page.
Warning signs
This is not a diagnosis and does not replace a professional. These are the signs that show up before the numbers stop adding up:
- You bet more money or more time than you decided before starting.
- You chase losses with more bets, or by raising the amount.
- You hide how much you gamble, or lie about it to people close to you.
- You gamble with money you cannot afford to lose, or borrow to do it.
- You think about betting when you are not betting, and struggle to focus on anything else.
- You feel irritable or restless when you try to stop or cut down.
- You have dropped things that mattered: work, studies, people, hobbies.
- You bet to stop feeling something — anxiety, guilt, boredom — more than for the game.
Recognising even one is worth talking to someone about. The measure is not how much you have lost: it is how much room it takes up.
What you can do today
- Self-exclude through the RGIAJ. It is free and blocks every state-licensed operator at once, rather than one at a time. It is the fastest and most effective step.
- Set deposit limits at every operator you hold an account with, before you need them. A limit takes a minute to set in a calm moment and saves a bad hour.
- Delete the apps and the saved cards. Friction works: most problem gambling lives on betting being instant.
- Tell one person. It is the hardest step and the one that changes the most, because secrecy is half the problem.
- Call 900 200 225. Free, confidential, and you need nothing decided to call.
If you are supporting someone
FEJAR associations also help family members, and that part usually does more than any conversation alone. Two things that help: do not pay off gambling debts — it extends the problem instead of solving it — and do not frame it as willpower. Problem gambling is a recognised disorder; nobody argues their way out of one.
What a verified record does not fix
Everything we do here — sealing odds against the market, publishing CLV, making picks uneditable — tells you whether a tipster has judgement. It does not tell you how much you should risk, and it does not make betting safe. Past performance does not guarantee future results, and no tipster wins every month.
If gambling is hurting you, no pick fixes that. Start on 900 200 225 or with RGIAJ self-exclusion, not by looking for a better tipster.
If your case is the opposite — you want to bet less and better — the bankroll management guide explains how to decide how much to risk before the game starts.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if I have a gambling problem?
The most reliable sign is not how much you lose, it is how much room it takes up. Betting more time or more money than you decided, chasing losses with more bets, hiding it, or dropping things that mattered to you — that is a problem even if the numbers still add up. You do not need to be ruined to ask for help, and the earlier you ask, the easier it is.
How do I self-exclude from every bookmaker?
Through the RGIAJ, Spain's general register of gambling access bans. It is a free application to the Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling that blocks access to every state-licensed operator at once, instead of one by one. You apply at ordenacionjuego.es. Regional governments also keep their own registers for physical venues.
Where can I get free help?
FEJAR's free, anonymous player helpline (900 200 225) and the FEJAR member associations across Spain, which help both the player and their family free of charge. Gamblers Anonymous runs in-person and online groups. Your GP is also a valid way in.
Does following a tipster with a good record lower the risk?
Not the way people usually imagine. A verified record says that tipster had judgement in the past; it says nothing about tomorrow, and nothing about how much you should risk. Problem gambling does not come from betting badly, it comes from losing control over how much and how often — and that happens just as easily while following someone who wins.
Does this platform handle my money or place bets for me?
No. Nothing is wagered here, no money is deposited to gamble and no bet is ever placed on anyone's behalf. This is a platform for publishing and verifying picks: sealing the odds exists to check track records, not to trade for you.
