The rating’s goal is simple to state and hard to game: separate tipsters with real edge from those who’ve just been lucky, without relying on what each one says about themselves. It’s calculated from picks actually published and settled on the platform — nothing is self-declared.
We don’t publish the exact weight of each component in the formula — that’s information that could be used to try to “game” the system instead of simply publishing good picks. You can still know what it’s based on, from most to least weight:
Weighted yield.Profit per unit staked, weighted by each competition’s liquidity level (see glossary) and adjusted for volume: with few picks, the yield “shrinks” toward zero so a short streak doesn’t inflate a new account’s rating.
Consistency.Percentage of positive months, penalised by the maximum drawdown (the worst streak). This is the component that rules out the “lucky-streak” profile: a thousand picks, twenty hits, one lucky big one.
CLV calibrated by band.Compares the odds taken against the market’s closing odds, compared only against tipsters in the same odds band (favourites/value/underdog, because at high odds the closing line is noisier and less is required). It’s the main detector of tipsters without real edge, even if their run of results looks good.
Discipline.Regularity of publishing over time, and whether you include written analysis with your picks: it isn’t mandatory, but doing it improves this component. The minimum notice period and the daily pick cap are checked separately, when publishing.
An account with no picks published yet has no data to evaluate, so it starts with a neutral rating (50) instead of a high or low one — neither penalised nor favoured compared to someone with a track record.
Every new tipster starts in the Third division of their circuit. Every month, promotions and relegations are evaluated by comparing that period’s rating (the previous month) among all tipsters in the same division and circuit:
Every month, among those meeting the minimum pick count, the best normalised overall rating (comparable across different circuits) is awarded the month’s badge on their profile. Entry is always free — you can’t pay to enter the contest.
The rating summarises a tipster’s verifiable track record so far, it doesn’t promise future results. Betting carries real risk, and this platform doesn’t offer financial advice.
